40 YEARS GFA – LOOKING BACK INTO THE FUTURE

We kick-off GFA’s 40 years celebrations with a 60-minute livestream from the GFA Studio. Our host, Jan Prothmann, has invited guests, who influenced, witnessed and currently drive GFA’s evolution alongside the transformation from the traditional development cooperation of the early days into the international cooperation of today and the future. We want to capture key take-aways from 40 years of constant change in GFA and look at the future role of consulting services in addressing the global challenges.

THE POWER OF TRANSFORMATIVE CLIMATE SOLUTIONS: TECHNOLOGIES AND POLICIES FOR SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS

The journey continues with a 90-minute live event in Königstein (Taunus), home to HEAT, a member of GFA Group since 2016. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from buildings and the decarbonisation of the building sector are key to to tackling the climate emergency. In lively formats, we will challenge guests involved in climate policy, international cooperation and climate research with questions on how to ensure the shift towards less carbon-intensive building materials and sustained energy efficiency standards for new and old buildings alike.

On Wednesday, June 8th, we continue our celebration in Bonn – heart of Germany’s International Development Cooperation and home of GFA B.I.S. THE EUROPEAN GREEN DEAL – PERSPECTIVES FOR ALBANIA

Where else if not here in the 2022 European Youth Capital Tirana, where GFA Group has been working since the 1990s, to discuss the European Green Deal from the perspective of the EU candidate country Albania? In a 90-minute live event, stakeholders from politics, private sector, civil society and donors, will shed light on the challenges and opportunities the Green Deal entails for Albania in various sectors: from trade over energy, education to nature conservation. 40 YEARS GFA – STAFF PARTY

We are celebrating 40 years of GFA with staff, friends, experts and alumni of GFA. With low key drinks, a dinner and coming together as a big, divers and international community, we are meeting up in person and are seizing the opportunity to get to know each other better. GFA’s anniversary tour stops over on the African continent, with a festive event in Dakar, Senegal. We begin with an exploration on what international cooperation can and must do to effectively open up perspectives for the people in West Africa. To this end, we welcome insiders from public and private sector, who illustrate their perception and share their future ambitions for the region in diverse and lively formats. We will continue the exchange during the evening celebration in a casual atmosphere.
